At K & J Chevrolet we pride ourselves on working to help our community in so many ways. In the summertime, we like to do a drive collecting school supplies to donate to a local school. In the winter, we do a toy drive to donate to families in need. Spread out throughout the year, we have volunteered at nursing homes and done lunches for people in the community.

What a night! Our Revved Up for Recess event at the Carlyle Grade School was an absolute blast. K&J Chevrolet was thrilled to host it in support of the school’s brand-new inclusive playground! The school was taken over by K–4 students who came ready for FUN and they did not disappoint! Between the games, the pizza and cookies, the Santa piñata showdown, the dance-party-that-could-have-lit-up-Carlyle, and a cozy movie wind-down… those kids had energy for DAYS! Here’s to community, kids, fun, and making memories for a great cause!

During the event, students are assigned a random annual income before traveling to booths such as housing, clothing, insurance, and child care to make payments from their given budget.

A Family Fun Event that K&J Chevrolet and the City of Carlyle put on together!

This was only our second-year hosting Wreaths Across America, and seeing even more wreaths this year, even more names remembered, and even more families represented…it really does mean the world. Every wreath is more than a decoration. It is a symbol of love, of loss, of gratitude, and of promises kept… promises that we will remember them. Always.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, or simply stood with us, thank you. Your presence mattered. Your support mattered. And because of you, our veterans were honored in a powerful and heartfelt way.  We remember. We honor. We teach.

We were blown away by the turnout… the line came from two directions & stretched all the way down the road! Thank you to every single family who came out to celebrate the season with us. The joy, smiles, and Christmas cheer made the night truly magical. We loved seeing everyone enjoying their cookies, cocoa, and time together. We can’t wait to see you again next year at the lights!
